By Car
from the North on the A/2 Milan-Naples motorway, proceeding with the
Naples-Salerno A/3 to the Castellammare di Stabia turnoff;
from the East on the A/16 Bari-Naples motorway, that ends on the Naples-Salerno
A/3, continuing to the Castellammare di Stabia turnoff;
from the South on the A/3 Reggio Calabria - Salerno motorway, then proceeding
towards Naples to the Castellammare di Stabia turnoff.
In all cases, once at Castellammare di Stabia, take the panoramic S.S. 145 main
road. Sorrento is about 48 kilometres from Naples and 50 from Salerno.
By Train
Sorrento can also be reached by train, with the State Railways and the
Circumvesuviana, that links the city to the villages in the Vesuvius area,
including Naples.
Air
In addition, it can be reached by air, arriving at Capodichino airport, situated
to the north-west of Naples.
By Boat
Sorrento is well-connected to the
Isles of Capri and Ischia, thanks to an efficient maritime network with frequent
crossings by hydrofoil and ferries that also sail to Naples.
